Looking to buy a firearm from someone in your area? GunsAmerica’s Local Listings make it easy to connect with sellers near you for in-person transactions—no shipping, no waiting, no payment processing delays.
What Are Local Listings?
Local Listings are posts from sellers who want to complete the sale face-to-face in your area. These listings do not use on-platform checkout. Instead, you’ll contact the seller directly to arrange the details of your transaction.
You’ll typically meet in person, inspect the item, and pay the seller directly.
How to Find Local Listings
Use the Local Listings filter while browsing or searching.
Enter your ZIP code to see items available near you.
When you find something you like, click Contact Seller to start a conversation and coordinate the meet-up.
How Do I Pay?
Payment is handled directly between you and the seller—GunsAmerica does not process or guarantee transactions for Local Listings. Most sellers accept cash, though you’ll need to agree on payment terms before meeting.
Safety Tips for Meeting Sellers
Meet in public, well-lit locations—many police stations have “safe exchange zones” just for this.
Bring a friend and let someone know where you’re going.
Inspect the item carefully before exchanging money.
Make sure all legal requirements are met. In some states, a private sale may still require an FFL transfer or background check.
Important Note
Local Listings are not covered by GunsAmerica’s buyer protection policies. These are peer-to-peer, off-platform transactions, so it’s up to both parties to conduct the sale safely and legally.
