Whitelist GunsAmerica Email Addresses

Add GunsAmerica to your “address book”

We don’t want you to miss a thing. When you add us to your “address book,” you’ll be whitelisting GunsAmerica, which ensures you’ll never miss any new gun and gear reviews on the blog, buyer or seller messages, and updates.

Whitelisting is fast and easy. No matter what e-mail system you’re using, simply add the email address in the “From” line of the GunsAmerica message to your address book. There are a few email addresses you’ll want to add, depending on how you use GunsAmerica.

To receive messages from buyers and sellers add:

reply-to@gunsamerica.com

To receive blog updates add:

blog@gunsamerica.com

For customer service updates add:

customerservice@gunsamerica.com

If you are a seller on GunsAmerica add:

dealerservices@gunsamerica.com

You may also follow the directions of your email provider from the list below.

If your email provider is not listed above and you are having trouble viewing our emails please contact our customer service department at customerservice@gunsamerica.com

AOL

For AOL version 9.0: you can ensure that valued e-mail is delivered to your Inbox by adding the sending address to your “People I Know” list.

Open the latest email from GunsAmerica.

Click the Add Address button (over on the right) to add that sender to your “People I Know” list.

Alternatively, you can simply send an e-mail to:

reply-to@gunsamerica.com

blog@gunsamerica.com

customerservice@gunsamerica.com

dealerservices@gunsamerica.com.

Even if the e-mail you send doesn’t get through (for whatever reason), the act of sending it does the job of putting the address into your “People I Know” list–and that’s what counts.

If you’re using an earlier version of AOL, you’ll need to set your Mail Controls instead. Here’s how:

Go to Keyword Mail Controls.

Select the screen name the e-letter is coming to.

Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name.

For AOL version 8.0: Select Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains.

Click Next until the Save button shows up at the bottom.

Click Save.

For AOL version 7.0: In the section for “exclusion and inclusion parameters”, include the domain of the “From” address (gunsamerica).

HOTMAIL

If you’re using Hotmail, you can ensure that the e-letter is delivered to your Inbox by adding the “From” address to your Safe List. Here’s how:

Click Junk e-Mail Protection.

reply-to@gunsamerica.com

blog@gunsamerica.com

customerservice@gunsamerica.com

dealerservices@gunsamerica.com

Click Add.

When you see the address you entered in the Safe List box, click OK.

Alternatively, you can add the “From” address to your Contacts list:

GMAIL

If you’re using Google’s gmail for e-mail, you can ensure delivery to your Inbox by either adding the sending address to your Contacts list or by marking any incorrectly filed e-mail as “Not Spam”. Here’s how:

Open the latest issue of the e-mail you want to whitelist.

Click the More Options link. It’s on the title line of the e-mail, over on the right, next to the date. (If you see “Hide Options” instead, then you already have the extra options visible and can just skip this step.)

When the extra options are visible (just below the subject line), click the Add sender to contacts list link.

Alternatively, you can just send an e-mail to:

reply-to@gunsamerica.com

blog@gunsamerica.com

customerservice@gunsamerica.com

dealerservices@gunsamerica.com

…and that will add the address to your Contacts list automatically. Even if the e-mail you send doesn’t get through (for whatever reason), the act of sending it does the job of putting the address into your Contacts list–and that’s what counts.

If a GunsAmerica message has been filtered into the Spam folder, you can prevent that ever happening again:

Click on the Spam link to open your Spam folder.

Click on the wrongly filtered e-mail to open it.

Click the Not Spam button at the top of the e-mail (right next to “Delete Forever”).

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS ABOUT CONTACT INFORMATION:

It has come to our attention that a number of members have old, out of date, invalid, or incorrect email addresses in their GunsAmerica account. This happens for many reasons, for example; typographical errors when the email address was entered, many people use .com when it may need to be .net, they forget to update their account when they change email providers, etc.

There is also a growing problem with members who use Spam filters and do not make provisions to receive email from GunsAmerica and/or from GunsAmerica members who need to exchange messages.

We’ve also found that many sellers believe their phone number is automatically sent to a member who inquires about a listing, as was once our policy, and therefore the seller does not bother to update their email address or log in to check for messages. Due to privacy & policy changes a seller’s/buyer’s phone number is no longer automatically sent to members using the GunsAmerica messaging system.

All members are required to and responsible for making sure the email addresses they have in their GunsAmerica account (User and Seller accounts) are valid and can accept email from GunsAmerica. All members are responsible for logging into their GunsAmerica account regularly to check for offers, messages, and replies. Please do NOT rely solely on your email, as emails are known to fail for any number of reasons and ISPs are known to block “gun” related emails. Please do not assume that because you are getting emails from some people that you are getting emails from all who are trying to get through to you. See our “Communications” section of the FAQs for more information about email blocking, spam, etc.

The GunsAmerica messaging system is designed as a fail-safe for the reasons stated above. Please make sure you log in and check your account, offers, and messaging system regularly.

We ask all members to please also take the time to log in to their GunsAmerica account and update their email addresses and other contact information. Thank you.
